It's the deepest part of the underworld where Titans and other souls are imprisoned for eternity. Tartarus is depicted as a monstrous figure that towers over all, representing the abyss. Both sections feed into this energy during the piece.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cem\u003eBeing a primordial entity, Tartarus existed at the beginning of the universe, alongside Gaia and Eros. Gaia the goddess of earth, is one of the first primordial deities, emerging from chaos. Considered the mother of creation, I wanted to capture this emergence from turmoil. So you will hear tonality being lost, and chaos ensuing. Raging percussion almost fighting against the sharp, visceral sound of the trombones.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cem\u003eEros, the god of love, is the last primordial entity from the beginning of the universe. Although Eros was born from chaos, I wanted to signify the importance of love, especially in a piece like this where Tartarus tries to silence it.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cem\u003eInstead of love emerging from chaos, it gets silence before it appears. This time, the percussion brings in Eros in the middle of the piece, completely changing the texture.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe three primordial Gods are at battle, trying to get their own views of the universe to be heard. Love from Eros, Chaos from Gaia, and a frightening, impending abyss from tartarus.
