Gluck's lyrical Melodie arranged here by Christopher Bassett for Trombone and Piano.

Christopher Bassett joined the Jacksonville Symphony and the Santa Fe Opera as Bass Trombonist in 2017. Christopher has performed as solo recitalist and has worked with students at DePaul University, the University of Florida, University of New Mexico, and Florida State University, to name a few. At home in Florida, he maintains a private trombone studio and serves as a clinician for low brass at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts where his students go on to win leadership positions in NYO2 USA, All State Ensembles, and earn scholarships to study at top university music programs. Passionate about working with students of all ages, Christopher is a founding member of the Santa Fe Trombone Summit along with colleagues Jonathan Randazzo, Chris Buckholz, and Mark Fisher.

Awed by the trombone at the age of 8, Christopher began playing the trombone at the age of 10 and has performed both classical and jazz ever since. Growing up in the San Diego area and relocating to western Massachusetts at the age of 13, he was a student at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. Some of his early musical mentors include Sean Reusch, Scott Pemrick, Norman Bolter, Douglas Yeo, and long-time friend and colleague Brian Wendel.

Christopher is a performing artist with Edwards Instrument Co. and Peck Custom Designs and uses Griego Mouthpieces.
