Warm and open, while still retaining that quintessential 'cup mute' sound. It certainly has all the notes, too!
I have every Bass Trombone mute from MorningStar mutes. Each is impeccable in quality, and sound, as well as build, has great intonation, and does not make my horns play sharp. I consider they used to be master-crafted mutes, and well worth the price paid.
I have been looking for a good cross training routine for a while. When this came out, I thought I found the one. I was a bit upset to find out that it wasn’t for print music readers and designed for iPad users, which I am not. I tried it, and several of the audio files don’t match the exercises they are with. I don’t have good volume for the play tracks, but printed the book for use. The author and publisher did not seem interested in making a CD or audio track file for more traditional users to make a playlist. It has a ton of potential, however I wasted a bit of money on this and the reader they suggested stopped being supported.
Dear Dr. Green, I feel so badly to read this review. How old is your edition please? It's been a long while since I suggested specific PFD readers in this publication, and I'd love to pring you up to date to the latest version of the book and MP3s. With thanks!
