"Suite of sketches" is a five-movement work for unaccompanied trombone. In a format similar to the bachello suites, each movement is a stand alone entity adhering to a traditional form. Each movement was inspired by a specific painting that I visited and saw hanging at the museum of fine arts in Boston. Below each work, I've included a short blurb describing the painting, but I've purposely left each painting's identity blank.
