Baba Yaga, a figure from slavic folklore, is a witch like grandmother figure with a magical house with chicken feet and the ability to transport Baba Yaga from one place and time to another. She often appears kind but is mischievous anf sometimes downright evil.

Alex Knutrud is a trombonist based in Boston, Massachusetts. Alex has performed as acting 2nd trombone in both the Bangor Symphony in Bangor, Maine and the Southwest Florida Symphony in Ft. Myers, Florida. In addition to those ensembles, Alex has appeared as a substitute trombonist in many different ensembles throughout the northeast. A dedicated educator, Alexander has presented guest masterclasses at many colleges and high schools throughout the United States, and has trained private students now attending prestigious conservatory programs all over North America.

As a pedagogue, Alex maintains a private studio of trombonists and curates tromboneguide.com, an online pedagogy presence which fosters learning and access to high quality pedagogy for trombonists all over the world. Alex is also an avid composer and arranger. Alex holds Bachelor of Music degrees in both Trombone Performance and Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master of Music from Boston University, where his primary teachers were Jeffrey Gray and Toby Oft.
