In the summer of 2021, Dr. Chris Buckholz, Jonathan Randazzo, and myself discovered Raymond Moulaert’s Suite for Three Trombones and decided to record it on our debut album as a trio, Tres Amigos. We were instantly shocked at how magnificent this piece is during our reading of it and were then saddened to learn that this piece is rather unknown and out of print.
With the out-of-print edition we used, we were unable to find a score and also discovered missing measures in some of the parts. Based on our recording of the piece, I have created this new critical edition of the work complete with a score, easier-to-read notation, and the missing measures recomposed to what I believe Moulaert intended.
The Suite is in three movements titled: I. Poco Lento - Maestoso, II. Lento, III. Capriccio.
It is my every hope with the re-publication of this work that the Moulaert Suite for Three Trombones will become a standard in both our pedagogy at the conservatory and in our performance as trombonists.
The work is about 11.5 minutes in length and appropriate for advanced performers. - Christopher Bassett

By far the most freeblowing mute I've ever played on
By far the most freeblowing mute I've ever played on. The 2nd movement of Tomasi doesn't suck to play anymore.

My first impression of the book Trombone21 is great
My first impression of the book is great. The music included makes the book complete.
However, the book is a huge challenge for me. I have learned the tenor clef in the past, but not having used it at all since, so that is the first challenge.
I started practicing last week, July and August is the holiday period.
Furthermore, I love challenges; I am an amateur, and I have no other instrument available besides my tenor trombone. But that shouldn't be a problem.
I am happy with this book; I am going to use it with other practice material.

The composition is great
The composition is great. However, the engraving is sloppy. More attention to detail is necessary. Dynamics are not vertically aligned, some measures are too wide while others are to small making the notation hard to read. Also, multi-measure rests should be used more often. There were none in this piece and it could have used some. I had an issue with the file and I contacted customer service. The issue was resolved quickly, so the customer service was great!

As always I simply like the text in her books
As always I simply like the text in her books. Tons of experience shared with great insight. Prescriptions on how to execute the exercises is a game changer and I would recommend both her books to all my trombone friends. These books are important for getting the basics in order, sound, air-flow, breathing, relaxation and endurance just to mention a few great tips for taking your playing to next level. Dimply great books

The Arrival of Something Truly Unique in Bucket Mutes
I have been following the design process of this entry into the bucket mute family for some time. Love the fact that is driven by active professional performers. My feeling is that is is a NEW take on the 'traditional' bucket. Rather than filling the mute chamber with dampening material, the design team developed a SONIC DIFUSER that, along with the overall design components, makes this a completely unique interpretation that remains rooted in tradition.
Superior, design and build/materials. EASE OF USE -easy on/off. And the maker worked with me to ensure a proper bell fit with my large bell - and communication throughout the order process was nimble, responsive and efficient. Not for nothing, affordably priced.
The mute sounds really great, intonation is spot on and the handle makes it super easy to insert and take out very quickly. Only point that could be improved is a clean finishing. There are many unclean edges from the 3D Print. But overall my new fav straight mute.
